STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) - A Bulloch County teacher could lose his job after Savannah-Chatham police arrested him for indecency.
Undercover agents say Remer Pope exposed himself to them in a public bathroom at King's Ferry. Pope has been a teacher for 16 years, currently at Southeast Bulloch Middle School.
Superintendent Dr. Lewis Holloway wouldn't discuss Pope's case for personnel reasons. But he said board policy allows suspension and possibly firing of teachers, even in cases away from school.
"Teaching is an awesome profession and we expect teachers to be role models of the children we serve," Holloway said.
Pope was one of three people arrested in the case.
