Garden City police are at a dead end when it comes to a Saturday-night shooting. The victim, they say, is refusing to cooperate.
It started at a bus stop on Augusta Road where officers tried to break up a fight between two men. The men told police they were only playing around, but once police left, one man shot the other.
Garden City police say they found a possible suspect a few blocks away on 3rd Street. He was questioned, then released. The victim was treated and released from Memorial Hospital, but will not cooperate with police as to who shot him.
Police say without his help, there's not much they can do with the case.
