SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - It's important to protect those resources that create such a beautiful landscape for our coastal communities.

That's why historian Barry Sheehy is trying to save Savannah's landmarks. He spoke to members of the Metropolitan Planning Commission about how important it is to remember our past and protect it for future generations.

The Savannah Metropolitan Planning Commission is working on a new project to enhance the city's public places. Eveyone is welcome to a forum tonight at the Coastal Georgia Center starting at 7pm.

The Commission's goal is to do business in a way that's both good for the environment and our economy.
