SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - A trial date has been set for the first of three suspects charged with abducting, sexual assaulting and murdering a 6-year-old Brunswick boy.
Jury selection for David Edenfield will begin on April 20 and is expected to take two weeks. The trial is scheduled to start on May 4.
David, his son George Edenfield and wife Peggy Edenfield are all charged in the case.
After a week of searching, the body of 6-year-old Christopher Barrios was found on March 15, 2007, just three miles from his family's mobile home in Brunswick.
Glynn County district attorney Stephen Kelley has said he will seek the death penalty against all three Edenfields.
Jurors for David Edenfield's trial will be picked from Jeff Davis County.
