The 46th Annual Claxton Rattlesnake & Wildlife Festival , sponsored by the Evans County Wildlife Club, will be held March 9 & 10, 2013 at the Evans County Wildlife Club Festival Grounds located in the Claxton-Evans County Industrial Park, just off Highway 280 West, minutes from downtown Claxton, Georgia. (Mapquest/GPS - physical address is 501 Cedar Avenue, Hagan, GA 30429) The Claxton Rattlesnake & WIldlife Festival is among the top 10 longest running Festivals held in Georgia.
While many of the Festival's favorite features have remained constant through the years, the 2013 event will have some new and exciting ones. Over 170 craft and food vendors are expected to participate. The 2013 event will include numerous wildlife exhibits. Organizations from throughout the state, such as the Department of Natural Resources, Georgia Southern University Wildlife Center, Zoo Atlanta, Let's Get Wild, Quails Unlimited, Brian Staples Safari Zoo and others will be joining us to promote wildlife conservation and provide eductional opportunities.
Members of the Evans County Wildlife Club and Festival volunteers are working hard to make the 46th Annual event exciting and special.
