Heads up! Colder air builds into the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry over the next day.
A series of cold fronts are forecast to slide through the southeast today. Our Wednesday begins with temperatures above average; in the upper 40s and lower 50s. However, temps won’t warm as much today.
Dress for a temperature in the upper 50s at noon and low to mid-60s between 1 and 3 p.m. It’ll feel much cooler than Tuesday, especially with a gusty breeze factored in.
Plentiful sunshine lasts through the afternoon!
Cold weather settles in this evening and tonight. Do you have plans? Grab a coat. Temps dip into the 40s just after sunset and are forecast to dip into the upper 30s by midnight, or so. A light breeze continues through the night – producing a wind chill.
Freezing, or near freezing, temps are expected Thursday morning. It’ll be quite a shock to the system following recent warm weather. Protect your plants, especially tonight and Thursday night.
Cold weather gradually loosens its grip heading into the weekend as the next storm system approaches. A chance of rain enters the forecast late Saturday and persists through Sunday. Rain is forecast to remain relatively light; wettest early Sunday morning.
Have a great day,
