VIDALIA, GA (WTOC) -Georgia Senator Blake Tillery spoke in Vidalia on Wednesday at the Toombs-Montgomery Chamber of Commerce annual legislative preview luncheon.
The lunch gives the community a chance to hear from local members of the government, as well as what they’re doing at the capitol. They also get the chance to ask questions.
Senator Tillery spoke on the topics of health care, education, and broadband. People asked questions about what plans were being made for rural Georgia.
“It’s really an exciting time in Georgia," said Senator Tillery. "For the first time in eight years, you have a new governor. For the first time in 12 years you will have a new lieutenant governor. It’s going to be a lot of change at the state capitol. A huge focus on rural Georgia. A huge focus on healthcare. A huge focus on education.”
