BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC (WTOC) - If you’ve recently filled up your gas tank in Port Royal, you need to be aware of a recent issue at the pump.
A mistake at the pump had customers filling up with diesel instead of premium or mid-grade gasoline. Parker’s posted this message to it’s Facebook page on Friday, saying a fuel truck mistakenly filled the premium fuel tank with diesel at the store on Ribaut Road.
WTOC spoke with a customer who says their car is now ruined.
“After getting gas, the car started sputtering, and I got a call from the dealership saying it was due to contaminated gas," said Sasha Horne.
Parker’s is telling everyone impacted to message them online.
The mix-up was only at the Parker’s store in Port Royal, and only for premium and mid-grade fuels.
