Effingham County Sheriff’s Office introduces new K9 deputy

EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) - The Effingham County Sheriff's Office is excited to announce its newest four-legged deputy.

K9 Messi is a male 2.5-year-old Belgian Malinois that was donated to ECSO by a local K9 Trainer. Messi has been trained in the areas of tracking, building search, open area search and criminal appreciation. Over the next few weeks, he’ll also become certified in narcotics, according to ECSO.

The Sheriff’s Department says K9 Messi is assigned to Deputy Cribbs and they look forward to all the great things this K9 team will do for the community to protect citizens.
