SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Newly elected Governor Brian Kemp announced 25 appointments to the statewide judicial nominating commission on Thursday.
This group makes recommendations to the governor to fill vacancies in state, superior and appellate courts in Georgia.
Governor Kemp selected three local attorneys for that board. This includes Chatham County District Attorney Meg Heap, Quentin Marlin, a partner at Ellis, Painter, Ratterree and Adams in Savannah, and Anne Kaufold-Wiggins, a partner at Balch & Bingham in Vidalia.
In a statement, Governor Kemp thanked each attorney for accepting this call to service.
