SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Savannah State basketball teams split Monday’s MEAC contests with Bethune-Cookman, as the men picked up the win while the women fell to the Wildcats.

The Tiger men earned their fifth victory in their last six games, taking down the Wildcats 79-70.

Jaquan Dotson led the Tigers in both points and rebounding, scoring 23 and grabbing 10 boards. Romani Hansen added 14 points while Zach Sellers led Savannah State with six assists.

The Tiger women seemed to have a case of the Monday offensively, falling 68-47.

Savannah State shot just 27.6% from the field in the loss, and only Myasia Jones scored in double figures. The loss drops SSU to 4-8 in MEAC play.

Both Tiger teams travel to North Carolina Central on Saturday.
