STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) - Three Georgia Southern University football players were arrested over the weekend in Statesboro.
The players are junior quarterback Ivan Corbin Junior, sophomore running back Logan Wright, and J.D. King, a running back who transferred from Oklahoma State and will be a redshirt this season.
Details of their arrest haven't been released, but the Bulloch County jail says they were arrested early Sunday morning, and charged with disorderly conduct. They were released on bond on Monday. We reached out to Georgia Southern for comment. The university told WTOC, "We are aware of the situation and it will be dealt with internally. We are disappointed with the decisions that were made and hopefully we can use it as a learning experience for our entire team as we move forward."
We plan to follow up on this story to find out why the players were arrested, and if there will be further response from the university.
