Dave Turley’s Wednesday WX Forecast 4-17-19

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -High pressure continues through Thursday. A strong cold front is forecast to push through the area Friday afternoon. High pressure builds in Saturday through Tuesday. Today will be sunny and warm, highs 75-84 with a SE wind at 5-15mph. Mostly clear tonight, lows 59-65. Thursday will see a mix of sun and clouds with a 20% chance for showers, highs 76-86. Friday is a FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY. The morning commute looks dry but showers and storms move in from the west by mid morning and move off the coast late afternoon/early evening. Storms may be strong to severe with damaging winds the may threat. An isolated tornado is possible but the threat is very low. Highs near 80. Saturday will be partly to mostly cloudy with a 20% chance for showers, highs in the low 70s. Sunday will be mostly sunny and milder, highs in the upper 70s. Monday and Tuesday will be mostly sunny and warm, highs in the low to mid 80s.
