Arrest made in Tattnall County murder investigation

COLLINS, GA (WTOC) - An arrest has been made in a death investigation in Tattnall County.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigations arrested 20-year-old Rashaun McRae Wednesday on charges of murder for the death of 58-year-old Elroy Miller.

The GBI was called early Wednesday morning to assist the Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office with a death investigation in Collins.

According to the GBI, at approximately 12:17 a.m., Tattnall County EMS responded to a call of an unresponsive person in the 5600 block of Highway 292. Upon arrival, a deceased male subject was located. The man was pronounced deceased on scene by the Tattnall County Coroner and later identified as Miller.

The Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office says it had previously responded to a domestic violence incident earlier the same evening involving Miller, McRae, and a female.

Miller’s body will be transported to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy to determine cause of death.
