Friday is a First Alert Weather Day -
A line of showers, storms sweeps through our area midday ahead of a cold front. A few severe storms are possible within this line. The weather may be nastiest between 12 and 5 p.m.; earliest inland and latest at the coast.
Gusty straight-line winds are the most-likely form of severe weather Friday, followed by small hail and isolated tornadoes. Only a few storms will produce severe weather.
We’ll continue to refine the forecast and pass along updates on TV, at wtoc.com and in the WTOC Weather App. Keep both “WTOC alerts” and severe weather alerts on in your WTOC Weather App Friday.
Enjoy your day,
