SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Kids from around 20 local schools are being honored as peer mediators.
They are chosen as role models in their schools. They learn about navigating conflict with peers, developing resolution skills, and facilitating differences peacefully.
“It makes me hopeful, because I see that with this many children participating in the program, there is hope for the future," said Dr. Shiquetta Thompson, The Mediation Center of the Coastal Empire.
The Mediation Center of the Coastal Empire has been teaching kids about conflict resolution and empowering the youth for more than 30 years.
