SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - A Savannah chef has won an award for being the best cook in the Southeast.

Mashama Bailey, of The Grey, has won the James Beard Foundation Award for Best Chef in the Southeast. That includes all of Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, North and South Carolina.

A fitting Gif was tweeted by the foundation of Bailey with her award medal.

The James Beard Foundation is a culinary arts organization honoring and celebrating chefs nationwide. It is a national not-for-profit organization based in New York City.
