SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - This weekend in Savannah, you can tour homes in the Historic District and enjoy custom food and wine pairings.
Also, tens of thousands of graduates will be out and about in the Coastal Empire as two of the biggest universities in our area celebrate the Class of 2019.
Sip and stroll your way through Savannah’s Historic District, with the Historic Savannah Foundation’s annual Wine Tasting and Home Tour. The tour will begin on Hall Street. The fun and informal evening is an opportunity to stroll the beautiful streets and admire historic architecture. The best part? You can go inside a handful of restored, private homes. Each home will offer a wine tasting paired with gourmet hors d’oeuvres made by local chefs and caterers. There are still a few tickets left. You can find them here.
Also, this weekend is graduation weekend for thousands of students in the Coastal Empire. The festivities begin Friday with several Georgia Southern Armstrong colleges holding ceremonies at the Savannah Convention Center and in Statesboro. The university-wide ceremony will be held Saturday at Paulson Stadium in Statesboro.
Savannah State University’s 194th Commencement Ceremony is a two-day-long event with both undergraduate and masters ceremonies taking place at Tiger Arena.
