SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - It’s been known for a while that Savannah’s Grayson Stadium would host at least one GHSA State Baseball Championship series.

Now it’s known which series will play out at the Bananas’ ballpark.

The GHSA announced Monday the Class A-Public and Class A-Private title series beginning next week.

Games 1 and 2 of the public series will be played Monday at 5:00 and 7:30 p.m. Games 1 and 2 of the private series will be at the same times on Tuesday. The if games would be played Wednesday afternoon if necessary.

The announcement is a welcome one to the only team remaining in Chatham County: Savannah Christian.

The Raiders would play for their second Class A-Private title if they can handle Wesleyan in the state semifinals Tuesday. SCPS won a state title in 2017 at Grayson Stadium.
