Police investigate after gunshot victim found in downtown Savannah

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) -Detectives with Savannah Police are investigating after a 33-year-old man that suffered fatal gunshot wounds was found on Interstate-16 at Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard early on Sunday morning.

Officers responded to the area shortly before 3 a.m. in response to an injured person. They arrived to find Dorian Brooks dead.

Police are investigating Brooks’ death as a homicide.
