SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Two separate wrecks slowed traffic considerably along westbound I-16 on Sunday afternoon.
One wreck involving a motorcycle slowed traffic along I-16 and Dean Forest Road around 6:20 p.m.
A motorcyclist traveling at extremely high speeds was weaving in and out of traffic when he changed into the left hand lane, slamming into the back of another vehicle.
That driver was arrested and charged with DUI. He was also taken to the hospital to receive treatment for possible serious injuries, including possible broken bones and road rash.
The road re-opened at 8 p.m.
Another wreck, further up the road at I-16 and Old River Road, also slowed traffic. WTOC is waiting to hear back from Georgia State Patrol regarding this wreck.
