BLUFFTON, Sc. (WTOC) - Bluffton Police and the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a shooting incident on Brendan Lane, Friday afternoon.
Neighbors say the area is usually quiet. Officials got the call around 4 p.m.
“We saw our victim who was shot, and we called Emergency Medical Services out here, and we transported him to the hospital," said Joe Babkiewicz, Captain, Bluffton Police Department.
Police say the man was shot at one home, then ran to another home for help, creating multiple crime scenes.
His condition is unknown at this time.
“Our investigators are currently following up on some leads. We have no suspects at this point in time," Capt. Babkiewicz said.
There were several children outside as police investigated. Neighbors say that’s typical, which made the shooting even scarier for them.
Police say the public shouldn’t be alarmed.
“We believe this is an isolated incident. We have no reason to believe that there is anybody out in the community that’s a danger to anybody else.”
