Residents shelter in place as crews work to control gas leak on Waters Avenue

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) -Crews with Savannah Fire and the gas company are working to control a gas leak on Waters Avenue at Wolf Street.

Firefighters are monitoring air quality after construction workers struck a two-inch gas line on Monday afternoon.

Those in the area are being told to take shelter in their homes while crews work to get the leak under control.
