Beaufort County assistant principal gets charged with a DUI

BEAUFORT COUNTY. S.C. (WTOC) - A Beaufort County assistant principal is on administrative leave after being charged with a DUI over the weekend.

Tyrone Jackson is an assistant principal at May River High School.

Port Royal Police officers pulled him over around 2 a.m. Sunday.

Jackson did not get out of the Detention Center until noon Sunday. Monday afternoon, district leaders put him on administrative leave indefinitely.
