SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Sidney Lanier bridge in Glynn County and the Talmadge Bridge in Chatham County have reopened following Hurricane Dorian.

The Sidney Lanier Bridge in Glynn County and the Talmadge Bridge in Chatham County were closed to vehicular traffic at 8 p.m. Tuesday night.

The closure is due to the likelihood of strong winds at the bridge’s elevations, according to the Georgia Department of transportation.

At this time, it is unknown when the bridges will reopen. Following the storm, the bridges must be thoroughly inspected prior to reopening.
