Savannah State’s season opener moved to Sunday at 2 p.m.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Savannah State University’s season opener against Florida Tech has been moved to Sunday due to Hurricane Dorian.

The game was scheduled to be played Saturday, Sept. 7 at Theodore Wright Stadium. Now, it will be played Sunday, Sept. 8 at 2 p.m.

This will be the first-ever meeting between the Tigers and Panthers.

Both teams had to evacuate their campuses ahead of the hurricane.
