HINESVILLE, Ga. (WTOC) -One man is in the hospital after he was shot twice following an argument at a Hinesville home on Sunday.
Hinesville Police responded to the area of Peggy Sue Street on Sunday afternoon after receiving a shots fired call.
An investigation found that the victim and a home owner were finalizing a sale when they were interrupted by a masked gunman, who started shooting into the home after attempting rob someone else that was sitting outside.
That man then sought refuge inside the house. The injured man’s wounds are not life threatening.
“This does not appear to be a random act," said Officer Tracy Howard with the Hinesville Police Department. "It appears to be an incident involving a relationship between the shooter and the victims in the case. Fortunately, there were children in the home that were not injured and to the best of our knowledge, there were no other sustained injuries in this case.”
Police are still trying to figure out who fired those shots.
