FRIPP ISLAND, S.C. (WTOC) - A Lowcountry island may have broken a Guinness World Record for a good cause.

Fripp Island teamed up with Pledge the Pink on Saturday to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer detection by setting out more than 3,000 plastic flamingos in a continuous line.

The last record was only half of that set in 2018.

This year, Pledge the Pink and Fripp Island hope to raise $350,000.
