STATESBORO, Ga. (WTOC) - Nightfall at TMT Farms during the month of December means Christmas lights, inflatables and more.

The Thompson family uses their Christmas display to collect canned goods and toys to give to the needy. Since they opened last week, they’ve already seen people abusing the attraction by trespassing beyond displays.

The Thompsons initially restricted walking around the in the areas around a display. But Roy Thompson says he heard from enough people - contacting him as volunteer security - that they’ve reopened walking areas for visitors.

"We hope that we have enough volunteers and no further problems so we can keep it open the rest of the season," Thompson noted.

The family hopes they can continue to host nearly 10,000 visitors per night and collect toys and canned goods for those who need them this holiday season.
