ORLANDO, Fla. (WTOC) - The Georgia Southern Eagles will have their fun in Orlando. The team will take a trip to Universal Studios on Thursday afternoon.

But on Thursday morning, it was all about getting in one final workout on the field at Dr. Phillips High School before the Cure Bowl on Saturday.

The team had their usual no sweat Thursday workout- no pads, more of a walkthrough than an actual practice. The team spent most of the time fine tuning the details, making sure everything is on point as they approach 48 hours to kickoff at Exploria Stadium.

Head coach Chad Lunsford says keeping the team on its usual practice schedule as best as possible is all about keeping the football side of things normal, while everything else around this week is out of the ordinary.

"Anytime you come to a bowl game, it’s not going to be that way. We’ve had to go earlier practices than we’re used to for some bowl events and the things that they have to get done. But we’re trying to keep the routine the same and do the exact same stuff that we do just so that they can be prepared on Saturday,” Lunsford said.
