Pedestrian hit by vehicle at Abercorn, East Charlton streets

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on Abercorn Street at East Charlton Street on Monday afternoon.

The Savannah Police Department states that the pedestrian was seriously injured. It happened around 1 p.m.

A Honda Fit was traveling north on Abercorn Street approaching Lafayette Square. At the same time a bicyclist was heading east on Charlton Street adjacent to Lafayette Square.

The Honda Fit attempted to turn east on Charlton Street but didn’t see the bicyclist and struck her. Savannah Police’s Traffic Investigation Unit continues to investigate.
