PORTAL, Ga. (WTOC) - Two are dead and one is injured after a wreck on Pleasant Hill Road near Oglesby Pond Road in Portal on Monday.
The Bulloch County Coroner confirmed on Tuesday that Frankie Sheffield, born 1956, and Frellie Mosley, born 1969, were the two that died in the crash.
One of the deceased’s friends came to pay her respects on Tuesday.
“We grew up together, went to school together, our families grew up beside each other,” said Kitty Calhoun.
The crash also killed Frankie Sheffield. A state trooper’s markers and spray paint indicate the car may have left the road on the opposite side of the road and the driver corrected and that started the rollover into the woods. Investigators said Monday they would try to question the surviving victim as soon as she was physically able.
Bulloch County Public Safety says only one car was involved.
Emergency crews at the scene said the vehicle rolled over, crashed into the woods and caught fire.
