Police identify suspect in Golden and Eagle Streets shooting

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Savannah Police has identified a suspect that was taken into custody after a shooting on Tuesday afternoon at Golden and Eagle streets.

According to the police department, an adult male was found with a non-life threatening injury to his leg.

Detectives say they arrested 18-year-old Jau-Keece Capers after he was identified as a person of interest. Capers is charged with theft by receiving stolen property (firearm), carrying a firearm without a license, possession of a drug-related object, simple battery, and obstruction.
