Over 31,500 positive COVID-19 cases reported in Ga.; over 217,000 tests conducted

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) reported 31,575 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state, according to the 7 p.m. Thursday (5/7) update.

The total deaths related to COVID-19 in the state are now at 1,340. A total of 5,864 confirmed cases have been hospitalized.

Over 217,000 coronavirus tests have been conducted statewide.
