Over 31,700 positive COVID-19 cases reported in Ga.; over 227,000 tests conducted

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) reported 31,722 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state, according to the 12 p.m. Friday (5/8) update.

The total deaths related to COVID-19 in the state are now at 1,356. A total of 5,886 confirmed cases have been hospitalized.

Over 227,000 coronavirus tests have been conducted statewide.
