Town of Port Royal passes ordinance requiring masks in buildings open to the public

PORT ROYAL, S.C. (WTOC) - The Town of Port Royal unanimously passed an ordinance to require masks in all buildings open to the public.

The ordinance will go into effect at 8 a.m. on Thursday, July 2.

The ordinance will expire in 30 days unless council votes to shorten or extend the timeframe.

Violation of the order could result in a fine of $50.
