Train hits vehicle near Gulfstream Road

CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - An Amtrak train collided with a truck near Gulfstream Road and Highway 21 on Monday morning.
The driver of a 2018 Freightliner was traveling west on Gulfstream Road and was stopped, waiting to enter a parking lot. A report by the Georgia State Patrol states that the driver misjudged the clearance, leaving the rear part of the truck in the railroad tracks.
According to Amtrak, the incident happened at about 8:30 a.m. 17 people were on board the train. No injuries were reported
