EFFINGHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - Most parents will never forget the first day their child ever went to school. It can be nerve wracking, but luckily there are teachers like Jennifer Griffin to make you and your child feel at ease in the classroom.
“I love being their first start in school. I want them to know they are safe and loved. and well taken care of,” Griffin said.
Jennifer Griffin is a students first step on their educational journey. She’s a pre-K teacher at Ebenezer Elementary School in Effingham County.
“They are like sponges, I mean, you can teach them anything. with patience, lots of patience,” she said. “But they can learn just about anything if you work with them.”
Griffin loves being in the classroom and says she is part of a strong team at Ebenezer.
“And I have been very fortunate to have a co-teacher Kayla Sapp, who has been phenomenal, she has been a blessing. Definitely, teamwork makes the dream work.”
“She goes above and beyond. to make sure her kids are loved and taken care of during the day. her parents love her. The kids love her,” said Ebenezer Principal Dana Wright.
“The kids, I just love the kids. I love seeing that spark go off in them. the hugs in the morning, When you see them in the store or a parent that will send you message that my kid loves coming to school and that makes me happy.”
