SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Savanniahans’ responses to the pandemic are on display right now at the Jepson Center for the Arts.
The reactions, expressed through art, are in response to “Making Marks: Art and Community in the Time of Pandemic.” In that project, free art kits were delivered to social service community partners, students, first responders, healthcare workers and veterans.
They were asked to use the kits to make collages about their experiences and mail them back to the Jepson Center.
They received more than 130 submissions.
Those submissions will be on display on the second floor of the Jepson through the end of February.
We spoke to two of the organizers to learn more about this community art program.
