JASPER COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) - The Jasper County School District is delaying the start of hybrid in-person learning for two more weeks, according to the school district.
Superintendent Dr. Rechel Anderson states in a letter that due to the increase of COVID-19 cases in the county, school will remain virtual for the near future.
The school district has planned to resume in-person learning on Jan. 20, but that date is being delayed.
Dr. Anderson states the school system will review COVID-19 data with health professionals near the end of the two-week period and decide when it is safe to return to in-person learning.
