SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Savannah Mayor Van Johnson announced during his weekly news conference Tuesday that COVID-19 vaccines will be available starting Wednesday, April 7 at the Savannah Civic Center.

“The site will offer Moderna vaccines and can give about 1,100 shots per day, so, this will certainly help us as we move and push forward to herd immunity,” said Mayor Johnson.

A soft rollout for the vaccine clinic was held last week at the Civic Center.

The vaccines will be available every Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until the organizers, Hospice Savannah, do not see a need for it anymore.

This is a walk-up clinic. Appointments are not necessary but are encouraged. Click here to schedule yours.
