Woman wanted for questioning in Garden City homicide investigation apprehended, charged

GARDEN CITY, Ga. (WTOC) - UPDATE - Thanks in part by the community and CrimeStoppers, Garden City Police Department was able to swiftly apprehend and charge Kimberly Westbrook with the Murder and Robbery of Eric Eloi.

GCPD says Kimberly was transported to the county jail and is awaiting her court appearances.

The Garden City Police Department is conducting a death investigation.

According to the department, officers responded to the InTown Suites on the 5400 block of Augusta Road around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, April 26. They say a male subject was found deceased with suspicious injuries which were later ruled a homicide by the Georgia Bureau of Investigations Medical Examiner’s Office.

The victim has been identified as 62-year-old Eric Eloi, of Lawrenceville, Georgia.

The Garden City Police Department is now seeking information in regards to the whereabouts of 54-year-old Kimberly Westbrook, from Texas. She is wanted for questioning in reference to this investigation. She is described as 5′5″ in height and 200 pounds. She was last seen in the area of the Econo Lodge at 4200 Augusta Road in Garden City around 4 p.m. on May 4.
