Savannah native Marion Devoe pens memoir to inspire

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A Savannah native is returning home to spread the word about his memoir and inspire the next generation in the process.

Marion Devoe overcame a childhood of poverty and later suffered from the impacts of serving in the Vietnam War before having a successful career at the United States Postal Service headquarters. He even eventually served the Chief Operations Officer under President George W. Bush.

Now, he’s sharing the struggles he’s faced in his life and how he’s overcome them in his memoir “Never Give Up.” He explained how a trip home to the Hostess City inspired him to write his book and how he hopes it impacts readers.
