SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - For the first time, the Chatham County Juvenile Court is hosting a job and resource fair at their location.

The event will be held in the parking lot outside of Juvenile Court at 197 Carl Griffin Drive on Friday, June 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be more than 25 vendors set up to speak about employment opportunities and where to get help for behavioral and physical needs.

The court wants to support youths in finding employment and other activities to keep them busy this summer.

“These young men and women we work with have a bright future ahead of them and it’s giving them the guidance and resources they need, as well as their families, to move forward and continue on. So, we just want to show that support to our youth and introduce them to the community that they live in, in order to get these resources and become sustaining citizens in the community,” said Alisha Markle, Deputy Court Administrator.

Organizers want to keep the job fair fun and lighthearted by offering prizes, games and food. All are welcome to attend.
