Community advocates needed to help get Savannah area vaccinated
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Healthy Savannah and the YMCA are teaming up to help get more people in the Savannah area vaccinated.
They are looking for community advocates to participate in an education and outreach program on COVID-19 vaccine awareness and acceptance.
“And we’re developing a training program to train people to go out in the community and talk to their friends, their family, their church members, their colleagues about their flu and COVID stories and to talk about their experiences with the flu vaccines and with the COVID vaccines,” said Community Manager Nichele Hoskins.
There is also a 500 dollar stipend available to those who successfully complete the program.
