Latimore out as Groves head football coach

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Groves head football coach James Latimore will not return next season.

Latimore led the Rebels to a 2-22 record in three seasons at the helm.

“The decision was not easy, but I feel that it is time to move on. I wish nothing but the best for all of my players and parents,” Latimore said in a statement sent to WTOC. “I would like to thank the administration and AD for their support and giving me a chance to be a head coach.”

Groves will now be looking for a new head coach. The Rebels haven’t won more than two games in a season since 2014.
