HILTON HEAD, S.C. (WTOC) - The 54th RBC Heritage is officially in the books. A successful return to full capacity that pleased tournament director Steve Wilmot.

“I got a little emotional earlier just knowing how it’s amazing what has gone on the incredible staff, the team effort to get to this point and then to have Jordan win in a playoff, you can’t script it any better to be honest with you,” Steve Wilmot, Tournament Director said.

A story book week years in the making. Wilmot says having all the fans back made all the difference.

“To think that nothing in 2020, limited capacity in 2021 and then for us to learn from those things and get back to this it’s people jumped on board,” Wilmot said.

The team behind this tournament spent months setting up for this week and now that it’s over they have to tear everything down in a matter of days as they prepare for 2023.

Meanwhile, Harbour Town golf course re-opens to the public Tuesday.
