Suspect charged after multiple injured in domestic-related stabbing

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A suspect has been arrested after multiple people were injured in a stabbing on Delessepps Avenue in Savannah on Thursday.

According to police, 31-year-old Roger Hendrix faces four counts of aggravated assault – domestic violence and single counts of terroristic threats, simple battery and cruelty to children.

Officers responded to the residence in the 1900 block of Delesseps Avenue around 7:30 p.m. and discovered four victims between the ages of 38 and 65 suffering from stab wounds.

Hendrix, was also located in the home suffering from self-inflicted stab wounds. All five of the injured parties were transported to a hospital for treatment.

According to police, all the victims were treated for non-life threatening injuries and have since been released from the hospital.

The suspect remains hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the suspect stabbed one of the victims. The remaining victims were injured while attempting to disarm the victim.
