Glennville Dairy Queen looks to keep up fantastic Miracle Treat Day turnout

GLENNVILLE, Ga. (WTOC) - It’s Miracle Treat Day at Dairy Queen, and one of the biggest fundraisers is at the location in Glennville.

The day is all about giving back to the Children’s Miracle Network.

Glennville DQ has finished among the top donors from across America in the 15 years since Zuber Malek came to Glennville and embraced the campaign.

He and his staff pull out all the stops to get more people to come through on this one day. But he also works with some of the largest employers in town to support them too.

“We have several local corporations that contact me in the Spring and ask ‘how much are blizzards this year?’ We want to get coupons for employees. I get orders for 200 or 300 from them to help us out.”

Earlier Thursday, they auctioned off a Blizzard for $1,100! He also hosted a 5k race this past weekend to raise money.

This DQ and others are open until 10 p.m. so you’ve got time to support them. We’ll know how much Glennville raised Thursday night and where they rank nationally around October.
