CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - The Chatham County Police Department has arrested and charged a man with murder in connection to the death of three people.

Police say a shooting occurred Friday morning at a residence in the 200 block of Quacco Trail.

Junior Thomas Babcock, 42, is charged in the shooting death of his parents and his 14-year-old son.

Chatham County Police officers were dispatched to the home around 9 a.m. When they arrived, police say they found three people deceased inside the residence from apparent gunshot wounds.

Babcock was taken into custody a short time later.

The investigation is active and ongoing. However, detectives say they do not anticipate any additional arrests in this case.

Monday, the Chatham County Coroner’s Office confirmed the identities of the three victims as 71-year-old Daniel Babcock, 68-year-old Connie Babcock, and 14-year-old Junior Babcock.

The coroner’s office said that each victim was shot a least one time.

A man who says he’s a relative of the victims told WTOC Babcock lived in the house with those he’s now accused of killing.
